We try to tackle all 5 language competences as defined by the European Union [1]: speaking (dialogues or monologues), listening, reading and writing.

In the first semester the emphasis is put on oral and written communication.

               Below are examples of skills we work on: 

>>Introducing yourself

>>Presenting and describing something

>>Asking questions / explaining how something functions

>>Summarizing a message (text or other), organizing and reporting your ideas

               Here are examples of the kinds of documents we might use: 


>>Audio files (incl. songs, etc)

>>Texts : articles, technical documents, etc

>>Voice recordings of students (Audacity)

>>Grammar papers, etc…

>>Professional websites (for CVs etc)

>>Certifications annals (TOEIC, DCL, TOEFL, BULATS, etc)
